Job Summary

For our Production Centre Lund/Modena, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive individual to join our Purchasing team as a Material Requirement Planning Engineer. This individual contribution role is critical in driving operational excellence of purchasing, optimizing MRP strategies, and setting material replenishment logic across multiple business streams. The ideal candidate will ensure timely material availability while minimizing inventory levels, enhancing master data accuracy, and continuously identifying improvement opportunities through value stream mapping and WCM methodologies.

What you will do

MRP Strategy & Execution

• Lead the execution of purchasing projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery targets

• Design and implement advanced MRP strategies tailored to different product families and business streams

• Define and maintain material planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing) to optimize inventory levels

• Analyse supply and demand trends to proactively adjust replenishment strategies

 

Value Stream Mapping & Supply Chain Optimization

• Conduct value stream mapping across the supply chain to identify inefficiencies, delays, and improvement opportunities

• Collaborate with suppliers, logistics, and internal stakeholders to streamline end-to-end material flow and reduce lead times

• Translate mapping insights into actionable process improvements and system enhancements

 

Master Data Accuracy & System Integrity

• Ensure master data accuracy across the full order-to-delivery cycle, including material master, vendor data, and planning parameters

• Monitor and maintain data consistency in the ERP system to support reliable planning and execution

• Act as a subject matter expert for material planning logic and MRP configuration in ERP systems

 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with production, logistics, and suppliers to ensure material availability and mitigate supply risks

• Monitor and report on key KPIs such as IDA (Inboud Delivery Accuracy), inventory turnover, and stock obsolescence

• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and planning processes

• Support digitalization and automation efforts within the purchasing function

We believe you have

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing execution, MRP planning, or supply chain operations

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and MRP logic

• Proven ability to manage complex planning scenarios and large data sets

• Experience with value stream mapping and process optimization

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• APICS/CPIM or similar supply chain certification

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
