Job Summary

The Aseptic & Filling Solutions Department is responsible for developing Aseptic technology competencies, setting and maintaining corporate standards as well as developing technologies and methods in support of future solutions. The Aseptic Verification & Performance team is responsible for securing support to the products and technologies developments. This is done through the definition and actuation of Verification & Validation strategies and building leading expertise in critical areas.  

We are now looking for a new colleague to strengthen our team! A new Laboratory Expert  who wants to be a part of a team conducting filling machine aseptic validations and managing the laboratory.  

This is a permanent position based in Lund, Sweden, but you will belong to an international team.

What you will do

In this position you will mainly cover the microbiological laboratory steps in preparing and conducting a defined test program, but the role also requires participation in the tests on our filling machines.


Conduction of microbiological lab activities includes: 

  • Inoculation of test objects with test microorganisms including operations of different inoculation rigs 
  • Support in preparing test microorganisms, test objects and test media 
  • Recovery, analysis and results reporting 
  • Support in methods development and maintenance 
  • Operation of laboratory equipment & rigs (retort, spray inoculation device, instrumentations etc) 
  • Coordination of laboratory and rig maintenance activities (calibration, rig service, cleaning)

Laboratory maintenance 

  • Maintain supply of lab consumables (stock taking, refilling, ordering) 
  • OHS responsibility 
  • Development and establishment of new examination methods 
  • Active participation in the optimisation of work processes

We believe you have

  • You have a university degree within microbiology or similar
  • Laboratory experience and good laboratory practices
  • Experience in microbiological analysis  
  • Knowledge of the identification of microorganisms
  • Your English command is excellent, written as well as spoken

Having practical experience with quality management systems (e.g. DIN EN ISO-17025, GMP) is considered as a plus. We appreciate if you have experience in operation of automatic rigs and some basic understanding of machinery. 
As a person, you are a team player but likes to work independently as well. You are expected to be accurate and quality minded but at the same time you recognize the need for quick decisions and changed plans. You are open to try new methods and tasks and like to be part of different teams as required.
