Job Summary

The Prepared Food and Plant Based business stream within Liquid Food Solutions at Tetra Pak is seeking a Food Technology Specialist. This role is essential for linking product behaviour and quality to the value proposition of our line solutions.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can support commercial opportunities and development activities with strong Prepared Food application knowledge. The application range is broad, typically involving highviscosity products and rheological changes during processing.

As a Food Technology Specialist, you will work closely with our Prepared Food Technologists and play a central role in our global organisation—driving technology development, supporting sales, and enabling order fulfilment for both the Business Stream and our markets. Success in this role requires confident leadership of customer trials in our product development centres and the ability to use your expertise to improve our competitiveness. The role focuses mainly on batch production.

We offer a challenging position within a highly qualified team, working closely with global sales and market companies.

This is a permanent role in Lund, involving up to 20% travel.

What you will do

As our Food Technology Specialist, you will:

 

  • Support customers with food technology expertise, trouble shooting and audits of their production facilities  
  • Drive prepared food application and technology development through technology scouting, and through Tetra Pak development projects
  • Take the role as trial leader in customer and internal trials in our Product Development Centre.
  • Train and drive the competence development of our global organization within the area of food and processing technology    
  • Support sales team and line solution managers with food technology expertise and product knowledge to provide best practice production solutions

We believe you have

  • A master’s degree in food science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with the processing of liquid foods
  • Experience of prepared food applications
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong leadership in technical collaboration
  • We are looking for a highly self-motivated and outgoing person with a strong personal drive. You enjoy being the expert, sharing your knowledge and inspiring people while keeping your curiosity and adapt new learnings. You have ability to listen and to absorb customer needs to contribute to our value proposition and market understanding. Your communication skills are excellent, and you can build trust and good relations with global colleagues, in both sales and technically oriented positions.
