Job Summary
We are looking for a strong communications executive, who will be managing the Communications function at Tetra Pak North Europe.
The Communications Director is a trusted and valued business partner, responsible for delivering strategic internal and external communications to support the market and the company in achieving their business goals while protecting and strengthening Tetra Pak’s reputation with key stakeholders in the geography. The Communications Director North Europe serves a business partner to the Managing Director of the North Europe market and participates in his extended management team. In addition, he/she supports the Managing Director of Sweden sites, in delivering robust internal communications to the Lund site employees as well as driving relevant community engagement.
The Communications Director North Europe will serve as a spokesperson for the company in that geography. He/she will be based in Lund and report to the Vice President of Market Communications.
Travel could take up to 10% of the time.
What you will do
As a Communications Director you will:
- Oversee Internal communications, reputation management and public relations, and marketing communications, including lead generation.
- Lead the annual planning process for the development of the annual communications plan and budget for North Europe and Lund, coordinating the input from key areas of the business. Responsible for the development of an integrated communications plan with a 360 approach that supports the business priorities of the market company while aligning with the global communications strategy of the company.
- Drives the implementation of the communications plan, securing quality of deliverables and outcome based KPIs, including demand generation.
- Responsible for protecting and strengthening the company’s reputation in the geography by driving a proactive public relations program and securing crisis preparedness. Drives the crisis process and leads crisis communications in the event of a crisis.
- Provide communications counsel in a timely manner to the Managing Directors and respective Management Leadership Teams.
- Actively contributes to the global communications leadership team.
- Lead the function in the market with a mindset of productivity, dynamism and excellence, securing it is operating at optimized effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manages all resources in the communications function in the market (people, agencies, budget and tools/data).
- Manages a team of three communication managers and ensures the team is capable and engaged.

- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication or similar, an MBA is preferred in addition to 10-15 years of relevant communication experience.
- Have excellent leadership skills with a track record of delivering effective communications in a fast pace environment
- Have a strong business acumen and are experienced in managing senior stakeholders.
- Are an effective business partner
- Are Well-spoken, organized yet flexible.
- Are firm, yet open-minded and a thinker able to put ideas into action.
- Have excellent writing, public speaking and presentation skills both in Swedish and English.
- Have a pragmatic approach to achieve what is required, coupled with an eye for detail and an ability to assimilate complex information quickly and propose solutions to problems effectively.
- Are results oriented and strong team player with an ability to collaborate with diverse teams
