Job Summary

The Automation Flex-zone is a department within PS&E Automation and Solutions supporting automation and electrical engineering activities across Europe & Africa. We support PS&E projects centres with highly competent automation resources including Automation Project Leaders, Electrical Project Leaders, Automation Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The Advanced Automation Engineer will be responsible for achieving technical and operational goals by leading a project team of specialized engineers with high competence and knowledge in the field of automation engineering. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate with high level of expertise in automation tools, with a commitment to customer focus, quality and innovation.  

 

This position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires travelling around Europe and Africa of from 30 up to 50 % yearly.

What you will do

As Advanced Automation Engineer, you will focus on:

  • Effectively lead the automation engineering resources to deliver complex projects on time, on budget, with quality.
  • Execute startup and commissioning of systems in conjunction with project team and Automation Project Leader at customer site.
  • Reviewing and creating functional descriptions for software: PLC/HMI.
  • Programming of PLC/HMI control systems.
  • System design and support for creating HMI Applications and PLC programs to meet project requirements.
  • Provide ongoing customer support & troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Conduct automation training for team members, customer personnel on the installed systems.
  • Support of colleagues on automation aspects.
  • Ensuring a proper functioning of the control systems.
  • Lead Automation project resource and ensure compliance with all relevant TP standards ensuring comprehensive Automation engineering and technical support, as necessary, in the design, installation and commissioning of process systems.
  • Deliver according to all internal and external KPIs

We believe you have

  • Minimum 10 years working experience from Automation Engineering for projects in an industrial environment, ideally the food industry. 
  • A very good command of English, both written and verbal is a must.
  • Familiarity with Automated Food plant engineering and associated components.
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills.
