Operator (Louisa, VA)

Tetra Pak Tubex Inc. is looking for a Operator to be based out of our Louisa, VA factory. This position performs all tasks involved in the production of straws by following standard work methods to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

What You Will Do

As an Operator your key responsibilities will be:

  • Test products for quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices or products.
  • Collect and weigh waste in correctly labelled barrels or other containers.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
  • Prepare and assemble materials, change film, attach labels to products
  • Fill out paperwork accurately and consistently.
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes and place on designated pallets
  • Track production on Daily Management Board and understand cell board.
  • Write tags for any operational, mechanical, safety, or environmental anomaly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Able to perform 5 why analysis

Who You Are

We believe you have:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment in manufacturing environment
