Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Expert  take responsbility for various client sites across Europe, to support with providing accurate information for accounting tasks and have good understanding of processes within own area of responsibility. You will be able to work independently within established procedures and practices.

This is a permanent position and can be based in Ljubljana or Zagreb.

What you will do

  • Perform accounting activities in accordance with the accounting principles and standards
  • Collect, compile, verify and analyze financial information and prepare financial, statistical, tax and other statutory reports  and accounting statements, prepare ad-hoc information.
  • Reconcile accounts, post journal entries and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with the accounting principles and reporting schedules
  • Supervise, control and prepare VAT books, VAT calculation,  WHT, and other relevant taxes
  • Participate in preparation of company income tax 
  • Participate at monthly closing and group reporting
  • Participate or lead process and system improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with the Internal Control System and participate in the audit process
  • Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks
  • Give support for the team and assume polyvalence for any other activities
     

We believe you have

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience,
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Slovenian Accounting standards
  • Knowledge of Slovenian VAT requirements,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Slovenian and  English (both written and spoken)
  • Confident usage of SAP FI  system knowledge is an advantage required,
  • Excel skills at advanced level required – Power BI an advantage.
