Automation Engineer



We are looking for talented and highly motivated new graduates to join our Future Talent Programme starting in September 2021 and become the next generation of engineers and leaders in our industry.





Future Talent Programme – leadership track is a two-year trainee programme to develop your leadership skills and give you broad business knowledge in an international environment. What you will do

As a Process and Automation Engineer you will join a group of specialists in manufacturing arena dealing with multidisciplinary subjects and projects, you will collaborate in the paper straw process, equipment, automation and digitalization activities, and you will also use WCM methodolgy to eradicate losses and manage equipment life cycle. In this role you will be developed in these 5 areas, focusing on the new paper straw manufacturing process at Tetra Pak Lisbon factory, through seamless cooperation with central/cluster/business unit:

  • Industrialization

You will collaborate with Industrialization and Development & Engineering projects resources, in the industrialization of the manufacturing process and its optimization through 4M elements ( Man, Machine, Method, Material)

  • Process & Systems

You will collaborate in the manufacturing information systems projects and implementation to paper straws, ranging from Quality inline systems to Performance data science to overall factory information system

  • Life Cycle Management of Equipment

You will build expertise in maintaining industrial base performance, by e.g. implementing and optimising the equipment maintenance plans, supporting global MP system, and securing input to technical documentation

  • Automation

You will collaborate with Central Automation and Digital team, to develop and integrate automation and digitalization projects for paper straws

  • WCM ( World Class Manufacturing )

You will take part in continuous improvement activities and teams related to processes and equipment, targeting root cause analysis and losses eradication


Who you are

We believe you have:

  • You have recently finished or about to finish your Master Degree in Automation/Computer/Mechatronic Engineer ( Graduation year 2020 or 2021)
  • You are fluent in Portuguese and English
  • You have basic knowledge of automation and controls engineering
  • You have data analysis skills
  • You are a team player and you like to work with people from various cultures
  • You should have an innovative mindset, you are fast thinker and like to solve problems
  • You are attracted by manufacturing processes and environment
  • WCM/Lean manufacturing is highly valued
  • Baisc knowledge on Power BI, Sharepoint, SAP is a plus
