As a Service Engineer, you’ll lead the charge in delivering high-quality service to our customers. From troubleshooting complex issues to training operators and supporting contract performance, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment—and our customer relationships—run smoothly.

 

As a part of our Customer Service Operations team, you will be first in the field to maintain food processing and packaging equipment at our customers’ facilities. You will be travelling up to 80% of your time to our customer sites.

What you will do

As a Service Engineer you will travel to customer sites to:

  • Travel to customer sites to:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations
  • Analyze technical issues and escalate when needed using standard operating processes according to the QTIM processes.
  • Train customer operators and support production efficiency.
  • Monitor service contracts and contribute to business development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food quality, and reporting standards.
  • Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service. Inform about any business opportunity discovered at the customer through the relevant channels.
  • Execute installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment according to defined expectations.
  • Always Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with the customer and that Tetra Pak’s reputation is sustained.
  • Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.

We believe you have

  • Up to 3 years of experience in maintenance, service, or installation roles
  • A Bachelor´s degree in mechanical, mechatronic, electromechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in maintenance of Packaging equipment is mandatory
  • Strong mechanical /electrical/automation knowledge (Confirm with HM for specific skillset required example PLCS, not intended to add exp in TP equipment)
  • Ability to independently deliver preventive maintenance, installation tasks and rebuilding kit installations.
  • Understanding of automation systems such as Allen Bradley frequency drives, Siemens PLC programming software, Rockwell RS Logix 5000 PLC programming software, Intouch (WonderWare), Device Net and Ethernet.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders with a customer focused mindset
  • A commitment to a strong quality culture
  • A commitment to a strong health and safety culture
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, highly structured and customer mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Intermediate level of English (written and verbal)
