Job Summary
We are looking for a strong communications executive, who will be managing the Communications function at Tetra Pak in the Great Middle East (GME) region. The Communications Director is a trusted and valued business partner, responsible for overseen the delivery of strategic internal and external communications to support the markets in the region, Arabia, Pakistan and Central Eurasia - in achieving their business goals while strengthening Tetra Pak’s reputation with key stakeholders in the geography. The Communications Director secures strong outcome-based results of communication initiatives in the markets, working with a small team and group of external agencies. The Communications Director GME will serve as a spokesperson for the company and report to the Vice President of Market Communications.
He/she will be travelling 25-30% of the time.
What you will do
As a Communications Director you will:
Oversee communications activities in 3 areas: Internal communications, reputation management and public relations, and marketing communications.
Lead the annual planning process coordinating the input from key areas such as business strategy, marketing, sustainability and corporate affairs. Responsible for the development of an integrated communications plan that supports the business initiatives of the markets and their prioritized objectives while aligned with the global communications strategy of the company.
Drives the implementation of the communications plan, securing quality of deliverables and target outcome-based KPIs.
Responsible for protecting and strengthening the company’s reputation in the geography by driving a proactive public relations program and securing crisis preparedness. Drives the crisis process and leads crisis communications in the event of a crisis.
Provide communications counsel in a timely manner to the Managing Directors and respective Management Leadership Teams as needed.
Actively contributes to the global communications leadership team.
Lead the function in the market with a mindset of productivity, dynamism and excellence, securing it is operating at optimized effectiveness and efficiency.
Manages all resources in the communications function in the markets (people, agencies, budget and tools/data). Ensure the team is capable. motivated and engaged
We believe you have
Bachelor’s degree in Communication or similar, an MBA is preferred in addition to 10-15 years of relevant communication experience.
Excellent leadership skills with a track record of delivering effective communications in a fast pace environment
Have strong business acumen and strategic skills
Is experienced in managing senior stakeholders.
Is an effective business partner, and has experience coaching senior leaders
Is open to change and comfortable driving change
Self driver and results oriented
Well-spoken, communicative, organized yet flexible.
Firm, yet open-minded and a thinker able to put ideas into action.
Have excellent writing, public speaking and presentation skills both in English and local language.
Is proficient in digital tools including artificial intelligence and power BI and has a basic understanding of marketing communications tools such as marketing automation
