Job Summary

We are looking for a World Class Manufacturing Consultant who will design, convey, and deliver customized and innovative operational excellence projects to our customers, to optimize their operations and reduce their cost of ownership supporting their productivity, quality, and sustainability improvement journeys. 

Your know-how and experience on implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean, Six-Sigma, Kaizen and overall Continuous Improvement methodologies will actively contribute to the development and expansion of Tetra Pak Services Solutions portfolio and business.


You will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa joining an international and diverse team operating in the Europe Middle-East & Africa (EMEA) region and becoming part of Tetra Pak global WCM network.

What you will do

  • Manage & deliver WCM-based solutions by training and coaching Customer teams according to Tetra Pak guidelines and expectations; managing scope, changes and the delivery team within agreed timelines and required quality.
  • Assess customer operations to map out and quantify present opportunities and explore future ones.
  • Build strong relationship with Market Operations unit, supporting in conveying the value of Tetra Pak offering. 
  • Provide constant feedback to Services and Development & Technology units to enable safety, quality.
  • Support development of new Expert Service product/solution content and methodologies 
  • Secure roll-out and regular governance of Tetra Pak Services Solutions 

We believe you have

  • University bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering degree or related. 
  • Experienced in implementation of TPM (WCM) / Operational Excellence programmes
  • Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing sector and operations.
  • 7+ years of working experience driving operational improvement solutions (WCM, TPM, Lean, Six-Sigma, Kaizen methodologies) in the industry (Food & Beverage is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence, collaborate and build relationship with people from different hierarchical levels (Board level to shopfloor).
  • Strong negotiation skills, business acumen and ability to navigate in complex organization.
  • Experience working in Production Management or similar in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts.
  • Detail and result orientated, passionate and with positive mindset.
  • Innovator and creative problem solver with ability to work under pressure.
  • Availability to travel 75% of the time.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proficient verbal communication in another regional language.
