Job Summary


We are looking for a people centric OH&S Officer who will support our local leaders with driving a safety culture through value-added OH&S services.  Compliance with our group OHS policy and associated procedures, and to drive continuous improvement towards the Tetra Pak goal of zero accidents and work-related ill health will be a key part of this role, as well as the ongoing delivery of our Corporate OHS strategy for these sites. The role will also be a key adviser and super-user/coach for our OHS system with support from regional and Global OHS Officers (or local OHS consultants as required).
As a member of the Human Resources team, and reporting into the Head of HR Country Services for Indonesia, you will also become involved and exposed to HR related activities.  So if you are someone who is keen on expanding your knowledge beyond OH&S, or have previous HR Advisory experience, this will be a great opportunity for you too.

 

 

What you will do

 

As our OHS officer, you will;

 

  • Champion OHS within their business
  • Provide OHS advice and guidance to their site director/MD
  • Establish and maintain systems to support the Group OHS policy/procedures and local legislation
  • Maintain a record of OHS incidents and monitor completion of follow up actions
  • Monitor compliance with agreed site OHS policies and procedures
  • Ensure that an OHS training plan is in place to cover the significant risks on the site
  • Prohibit any activity from continuing that is considered a danger or a significant breach of OHS legislation
  • Build collaborative working relations with the Managing Director, Technical service manager, Processing systems manager (where applicable), Corporate OHS Director/Manager Cluster OHS lead (TS and PS) Legal affairs, Communications, External consultants, Local authorities

We believe you have

  • Graduate in OHS or Public Health or others relevant background
  • 5+ years of working experience Plus 12 months experience of a similar OHS role 
  • A keen desire to build OH&S capability and safety mindsets in others, but with a practical approach to doing so
  • Pride in being accountable for delivery of, and exceeding, your objectives
  • High level of personal resilience and aptitude for working in a changing and dynamic environment
  • An influencer and strong collaborator
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving.
