Job Summary

 

Channel & Retail Marketing Manager

 

We are now seeking a dynamic and customer-focused ,Channel & Retail Manager, as part of the Tetra Pak Marketing team, to lead the business relationship within the Retailers in the Food & Beverage industry, to: 

  • drive growth as well as identify, prioritize, and pursue business opportunities.
  • develop and execute the channels strategy, aligned with Tetra Pak strategy and Key Account business plans.  

In this position, you will be the key point of contact for the Distributors in Germany, Austria & Switzerland not only looking to ensure that their operational and strategic issues are coordinated in a timely manner but also identifying their needs and delivering solutions to drive mutual growth.  
 
The position will be based in Hochheim, Germany 

What you will do

As a Channel & Retail Manager, you will:

  • Lead creation, implementation and follow up of the Retail strategy aligned with the Tetra Pak 2030 strategy
  • Lead and develop an agenda with the main Retailers in Germany, Austria & Switzerland and the related stakeholders to have a clear understanding of their needs 
  • Actively coordinate and secure business opportunities among customers and retailers
  • Lead opportunity management, cross-selling and up-selling promoting Tetra Pak’s portfolio through fact-based value proposals 
  • Participate in the creation, implementation, and follow up of plans for Key Accounts in collaboration with the rest of the team
  • Relevant industry mapping of Tetra Pak and competition position within the Retailers

We believe you have

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience is required in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or Engineering 
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a Retailer in the FMCG industry
  • Understanding of the Food & Beverages Value Chain. Local market knowledge as well as the FMCG landscape, trends, customers, and categories.
  • Professional experience with relationship management, commercial and/or customer-facing experience as well as the ability to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Self-drive and the ability to work autonomously
  • A consultative and clear communication style with good presentation skills
  • A mindset towards life-long learning, with a curious mindset and the ability to take initiative
  • Fluent in German and English, French speaking is an advantage
  • The ability and flexibility to travel throughout Germany, Austria & Switzerland markets (25%)
