Installation Supervisor

Main responsibilities :


  • Understand engineering design (documents and drawings) and able to challenge design from an installation perspective. Participate in design reviews.
  • Guide and control installation activities. Transform documentation into physical installation schedules, fulfilling all legal requirements (e.g. OHS, hygenic and food safety.
  • Lead L1-L3 project teams on-site. Technically coach and give appropriate feedback to engineers and external contractors.
  • Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and breakdowns during project phase. Participate in root cause analysis of problems to ensure permanent resolution with the structured feedback to the Issue Resolution (IR) process.
  • Initiate claims handling towards internal and sub-suppliers engaged in the project.
  • Plan and organize installation work in efficient and effective way.
  • Handle technical discussions with customers and suppliers. Supports PM in commercial discussions. Creates and delivers suggestions for VO to the Project Manager.
  • Support Pre-project team with cost calculations and project plans.
  • Be aware of existing Tetra Pak portfolio, proactively looking for business opportunities which will be shared within the organisation.
  • Build, maintain and develop a personal network with customer staff, external suppliers and relevant colleagues in Tetra Pak.
  • Write site reports and maintain time sheets. Document meetings and reviews according to existing procedures in Tetra Pak.
  • Proactively look for, read and understand project documentation. Share information and knowledge with colleagues.
  • Give appropriate feedback to the engineers in the project team. Acquire and develop new skills and technical knowledge in relation to competence profile.
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations & requirements.  Understand and address all appropriate food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues through understanding of plant operations, escalating issues where appropriate and necessary.
  • Home or office based with support from High Wycombe office (Depending on candidates’ current location).
Qualifications :


  • Technical engineering degree with mechanical and/or electrical/automation background.
  • More than 10 years of experience in leading installation projects on site.
  • Structured and well-organized approach to project tasks.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional language is a plus.
  • Ability to travel within UK and Europe, for more than 75% of your working time.
