Job Summary
Our mission within Processing Solutions & Equipment is to manage and deliver Commercial Capital Equipment projects on time, in full, within budget and with a quality level that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
We are now looking for a Technical Project Leader to join our successful team.
You are the Project leader with a bird’s-eye view on the technical scope connected to Cheese equipment, driving coordination between process engineering, packaging, automation, mechanical utilities, electrical utilities, and internal as well as external suppliers during the sales and implementation phases. You will also drive technical discussions with end customer.
This is a permanent position based in Heerenveen, Netherlands. Other European locations could be considered for the right candidate. The position will require 20%-40% international travel, depending on location and phase of the projects.
What you will do
As a Technical Project leader, you will work with Food Solution; Business Stream Cheese, which is a global organization working closely with our Project Centers to provide world-class project capabilities, support growth and balance resource needs globally. You will work in a dynamic project environment delivering large (>10MEur) and complex commercial projects to customers with cross-functional engineering teams.
Main responsibilities:
- Be responsible to ensure that the technical scope of a project, is delivered according to contract with regards to the technical content, quality and time.
- Drive and follow up coordination of engineering activities between various engineering teams within the project.
- Act as technical contact person towards customer and main suppliers
- Ensure that equipment and installation design is according to relevant local rules and regulations, such as quality, safety-related and hygienic requirements.
- Lead the preparation work of the Technical File (or similar if outside of EU).
- Coordinate exchange of technical information between customer and Tetra Pak.
We believe you have
- Technical engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, Process or Food Engineering areas.
- Some years engineering experience from a similar industry.
- Working experience from a managerial and/or customer-facing role.
- Good knowledge of Tetra Pak Food Processing Equipment for Cheese.
- A structured, proactive and well-organized approach to project tasks.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- PMP certification or similar is a plus.
You are, at heart, a technical project leader that feel excited in coordinating large customer projects in a global and cross-functional setting. You have a positive and strong leadership and an organized way of working and delivering under time and pressure. You possess excellent collaboration and communications skills and are able to drive activities and successfully collaborate with others to reach targets. You have the ability to work with people on various levels and cultures, adapt to changes and can take the timely decisions in a challenging environment.
