With over 700 employees, Tetra Pak Processing Food Solutions develops, delivers and facilitates a competitive portfolio of process solutions for the Food Industry in close cooperation with the Tetra Pak market organizations. This position is based in the Powder Operations team Drying in the Netherlands and working closely with engineering teams in five main sites: US, Brazil, New Zealand, China and India.
 

What you will do

 

 

As a Process Engineer Dryer, you will play a key role in our customer projects, having the overall responsibility of the technical functionality, from start to delivery of the finished project. You will be part of a project team of process, automation, and mechanical engineers, delivering processing solutions for dryers to our customers lead by a project manager. 
The position is based in Heerenveen, Netherlands, where you have different engineering teams working on projects on a global basis. The position includes nearly 20% travelling (sometimes 3-4 weeks long business trips), globally anywhere, depending on project. 

Example of representative tasks:
•    Providing specific advice and support to the pre-project team at client presentations of quotations. 
•    Understanding the customer requirements and compiling the applicable quote exhibits. 
•    Design, specification, and calculation of the process within the processing lines for dryer equipment. 
•    Collecting the process running conditions and writing the commissioning report as well as performing operator training during project implementation. 
•    Participating and contributing to CE, Health and Risk Assessments, Issue Resolution, and R&D projects.

You can work both independently and in groups on different projects. 

You have a diploma/degree in process/chemical engineering and food technology. You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position within the food processing/ Chemical processing industry. Knowledge of standards like EHEDG, FDA, and ATEX is seen as a merit.  For the position, excellence in spoken and written English is needed and knowledge in Dutch is appreciated. Strong MS Office skills are valuable.
