Job Summary

The Business Stream of Cheese & Powder Systems is developing into a global organization. We are currently looking for an independent individual who has good problem solving and communication skills. Commissioning Engineer 

 

In this position it is a home based position with ties to the Heerenveen, Netherlands office.

 

Main Purpose of the Job
As a Commissioning Engineer within the Business Stream Cheese, you are responsible for driving all onsite activities around the (Branded) Product to ensure that the products are checked, set up and ready for first production. You will work with a team of specialists within Tetra Pak CPS (Cheese & Powder Systems) to make sure first startup of the equipment is on track and ready for first cheese. Once first cheese has started the focus turns to stability of the line and handing over the line to the technologist to meet the performance guarantees. 

What you will do

  • Deliver Commissioning and test on several BPUs and lines. Including things like IO check, Dry testing, Wet testing, First production and start up to handover to technologist.
  • Breakdown and plan the project into phases and fulfill the plan and project milestones in time and in full according to budget.
  • Participate in the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for the assigned Branded Products within projects. 
  • In cooperation with the Training Coordinator assist on assembling training programs for the assigned Branded Products including the ability to give the training.
  • Create, maintain and improve the commissioning tools for supporting the onsite activities.
  • Scouting for new developments on techniques regarding commissioning of Branded Products. (Monitor exhibitions, technology institute and networking in adjacent industries)
  • Provide lessons learned and communications as to what happened and why to correct things on new projects.

We believe you have

  • Experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Software, or Industrial Engineer) or a trade / tech  relevant job experience in field service or service engineer field. Ideally combined with experience in Cheese / Dairy industry or Production Knowledge (Processing).
  • You are fluent both in written and spoken English.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • You must be structured and organized with a hands-on work mentality and quick-thinking problem-solving methodology approach.
  • Understanding of PLC/automation and electrical components a plus.
