Head of HR Country Service Greater China

We are looking for an expert who will be responsible for delivering HR Country Services covering government relations and reporting, labour relations, local reward and HR policies, legislative compliance, Occupational Health and Safety and HR factory services where applicable. Supports all organisations based in the assigned country/countries of responsibility.

What You Will Do

As Head of HR Country Service Greater China , you will:

  • Leads the review of local rewards strategy, policies and guidelines in the country, including compensation review guidelines (and negotiations) and benefits programs, working closely with the HR Country Committee. Leads local country specific rewards projects in cooperation with HR Service Centre. Acts as the local contact for Global Reward projects.
  • Drives the labour relations strategy in the country. Acts as the main contact and representative with local unions in labour relations issues and agreements. Facilitates conflict management between managers and employees and recommends corrective actions
  • Advises country regulations and updates. Ensures compliance with country regulations including regulatory requirements on HR core processes and country specific regulatory training. Acts as the main contact with country government authorities. Manages internal /external audits and labour suits, including interacting with internal and external counsels and representing Tetra Pak in court when required.
  • Sets and governs country policies and procedures across all entities in the country where appropriate including employment terms and conditions, in collaboration with the HR Country Committee.
  • Secures legal compliance of HR processes and drives alignment with global processes where possible. Guarantee the resourcing process country legal compliance in collaboration with the relevant Senior Committees (SC). Facilitates company initiated termination process and secures legal compliance and governance
  • Supports HR Business Partners and Managing Director in driving country specific employee engagement actions
  • Lead and Support Factory HR Representative in collaboration with SCO HR Business Partner
  • Drive Mental wellness program, OHS culture, Diversity & Inclusive culture, and introduce more best practice in the market to promote Modern, Productive and Engaging workplace
  • Monitors and coordinates with the designated OHS officers the OHS performance and legal compliance for the country

Who You Are

We believe you have:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in HR Country Services environment
  • Possess a strong knowledge of Greater China labour law, reward and benefits, government and immigration authorities. You can balance between operational hr execution and planning as directed by our HR Service Centre.
  • Proven track record of
  • Leading teams and mentoring HR team members. As this role leads a professional team and collaboration with OHS team and other HR functions locally and globally.
  • Driving successful Change Projects including changes to policy, organization changes across Greater China 
  • Building successfully relationships with internal clients, colleagues, authorities and external partners.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and autonomy, superior communication and an ability to collaborate across functions, geographies and levels. You can effectively balance conflicts and issues as they arise, recommending the right business decisions to resolution.
  • Excellent English proficiency is a must
