Job Summary
Tetra Pak Food Solutions - Powder is seeking a proactive Project Engineer – Powder Handling to join our Hamilton team. If you're a self-starter with exceptional communication skills and expertise in the field, we’d love to hear from you!
What you will do
Join our dynamic Powder Handling team and be at the heart of innovative projects! As a key player, you'll focus on drafting and design, implementation and commissioining working closely with clients to develop and refine concept designs while managing budget estimates for our Powder Handling projects.
Your role will involve creating detailed mechanical engineering designs for milk powder projects, including P&IDs, fabrication, layout, and mechanical drawings. You'll also be responsible for preparing as-built drawings and technical documentation.
With a large proportion of off shore projects this position offers hands-on involvement in project installation,commissioning and validation with opportunities to travel and see your designs come to life. We believe you have
- Expertise in Powder Food Process Design
- Process Equipment & Machinery Design Knowledge
- Functional Specifications Writing Experience
- Flow Element Sizing Skills (Pumps,Blowers, valves, pneumatic transport lines)
- Cost Management Awareness (SAP)
- Technical & Installation Expertise
- Project Management & Autonomous Work Ethic
- Hands-on Project Implementation Experience
- Software Proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Inventor)
- Strong Understanding of Process Technology & Standards
- 3-5 Years of Engineering Experience
- Mechanical or Process Engineering Degree or Diploma NZCE
