Job Summary

A rare opportunity is available to join our leading PS&E Team as a CAD Designer/Engineer based in our Hamilton Project Centre. If you have good experience in dairy processing projects within Oceania, have the desire to be part of a great team, love variety and want to be part of a global organisation, then we would love to hear from you.

What you will do

 

  • To ensure the successful execution of drawings and 3D modelling in all phases from sales through implementation (Design, verifications, and installation).
  • Supervise and/or deliver required project 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Design and detail equipment using 2D and 3D CAD software
  • Perform 3D piping design and isometric drawing production
  • Set up and drive 3D reviews for internal design reviews
  • Work closely with mechanical, process and electrical engineers
  • Determine layout of equipment
  • Involved in hazardous piping design
  • Determine pipe routing
  • Determine building requirements
  • Design pipe racks and obtain 3rd party structural verifications
  • Maintain 3D model and layouts – provide project team with ongoing updates as project progresses
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Systems and standards

 

We believe you have

 

  • At least five years’ experience in the area of Mechanical Draughting and/or Mechanical Design
  • Experience working with Project Teams
  • Very good knowledge of Autodesk products like, AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D, NavisWorks and Vault Professional
  • Very good knowledge of NZ dairy industry
  • Knowledge of site installation is desirable
  • Experience in hygienic design in the food industry is desirable
  • Experience and knowledge of simple structural design desirable
  • Experience in steam and condensate piping design is desirable
  • Previous pipe fitting or workshop experience would be a definite advantage
