Job Summary

An exciting opportunity opens within Digital Solution & Infrastructure team, Processing Solutions and Equipment. We support and deliver advanced integrated plant automation and MES solutions to our customers globally in cooperation with our Market companies.
We are looking for an experienced Digital/MES Engineer who wants to develop, implement and deliver Digital E2E solutions to our customers.
The position is permanent and can be based in Monza Italy, Utrecht Netherlands or Dublin Ireland. You will travel up to 30% of your time

What you will do

You will work with designing the production plant system architecture from ERP to shop floor. Configuring and testing complete automation and MES/MIS solutions adapted to different customer needs that often require development. The work includes a lot of problem-solving, adapting technology solution, implement- and support solution installations. You will be collaborating a lot internally and deliver externally towards our customers. which includes travel to customer sites.


Main responsibilities:

  • Design plant solutions including hands on from ERP to shopfloor, including MES/MIS, Batch, data logging, performance reports covering processing, packaging and intralogistics.
  • Integration of processing, packaging, ERP, WMS, LIMS, intralogistics to create a plant solution.
  • Development of solutions to adjust our Digital Portfolio to our customer needs.
  • Support Product deployment and implementation.

We believe you have

  • A university degree in Information Technologies or Automation Engineering.
  • 5 years of working experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Deep understanding of MES/MIS applications and the requirements for Digital Transformation such as Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things.
  • You have working experience of several of following technologies or tools: Databases (MSSQL databases, ORACLE, etc), Software development (Microsoft .Net, C#, web technology etc).
  • You have knowledge and understanding of the complete plant automation functionality including integration of ERP, WMS, LIMS for production (ISA S88, S95 Industrial Standards).
  • Fluent professional English is necessary, written as well as spoken.

Highly valued:

  • Project management experience and knowledge of requirements engineering are highly valued.
  • Knowledge in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, etc)
  • Experience in HMI Implementation (Siemens WinCC, Rockwell RSView, AVEVA Intouch, etc)
  • Virtualisation and containers environments
