Environment Expert will support Safety Health Environment (SHE) manager on the site/company to ensure compliance to the group Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and IMS policies and associated procedures and to drive continuous improvement towards the Tetra Pak OHS and environment(ENV) goals. He or she will also ensure delivery of the Corporate ENV strategy on their sites. The role will be able to manage local ENV system with support from regional and Global and regional ENV consultants. This position will be based in Gotemba, Japan.

What you will do

  • Assists and counsels managers, OHS council members on SHE matter.

  • Evaluates the work environment from the stand point of hygiene, and any other applicable regulations.

  • Conducts/assists in audits, accident investigations, and trend analysis.

  • Leads/participates in cross functional teams for SHE issue resolution or for new equipment/process approval.

  • Maintain facility compliance to local & Corporate regulations/standards. Ensure all required SHE reporting (government, site, Corporate) is completed on time

  • Manage facility ENV/OHS training to insure all required training is effectively provided, and understood by all employees, visitors and contractors.

  • Manage the Permit to work system Assist Manager in developing SHE Plan, supporting Corporate SHE Strategy for facility(annually), with specific responsibilities and timing assigned.

  • Leads ENV pillar and implement the ENV master plans, ENV Pillar Route.

  • Promote SHE culture at all levels be designing proper SHE campaigns

  • Understand and have experience of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Food Safety MS and SEDEX development and implementation.

  • Manage the cost / purchasing activities in ENV.A

  • Any other duties to be assigned from time to time.

We believe you have

  • At least 3 years of working experience in SHE field, preferably in food & beverages industry

  • Good understanding of legal requirement in the field OHS/ENV, and ISO 14001, ISO 45001

  • Good Japanese and English skills, both written and verbal

  • Good probelm solving skills
