Spare Parts Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Spare Parts Coordinator, who plays a key role in ensuring our Maintenance and Production areas have all parts and materials they need to accomplish their duties effectively. You will be accountable for ordering, maintaining, and controlling spare parts for the site; also, the day-to-day operations including stock availability, reserving, pulling, and staging parts.

 

The position is based in Denton, TX, USA.

 

You may be required to travel up to 5% of your time for training.

 

Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require international relocation to the United States.

What you will do

 

As Spare Parts Coordinator, you will: 

 

  • Maintain stock of spare parts inventory for maintenance and production team.
  • Process daily spare part ordering and quote requests that come in via email and phone (most requests are email). Orders are entered into the SAP ERP system.
  • Communicate with vendors/manufacturers to acquire needed spares.
  • Ability to search for parts and find better deals to reduce spending costs.
  • Determine appropriate suppliers, both internal and external, for various customer requests and/or works with supply chain management for best source.
  • Set up, organize & maintain maintenance spares.
  • Manage Backorders and run Periodic Inventories.
  • Follow through with spare parts purchase requisitions.
  • Send and receive components sent out for repair.
  • Submit monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reports to Maintenance Management, as inventory cycle count, stock quantity and cost, parts check in/out process, spending towards the maintenance budget.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for inventory management, tracking and invoicing.
  • Generate reports concerning budget, invoicing vs. open Purchase Orders.
  • Coordinate receiving orders with our shipping/receiving group.
  • Support equipment engineering group.
  • Provide answers to complex spare parts research inquiries working with engineering team, purchasing team, drawings, bill of materials, and other resources.
  • Handle expedited requests by collaborating with purchasing teams.
  • Resolve disputes over delays, returns, or warranties.
  • Follow up, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.

We believe you have

 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, procurement, or related roles is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is crucial for accurately tracking inventory and ensuring the right spare parts are available when needed.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary for maintaining an orderly spare parts inventory system.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with vendors, colleagues, and other departments.
  • Keyboard accuracy, ability to correctly enter part numbers and quantities.
  • Strong working experience with common software including MS Office especially Excel and Microsoft Teams.
  • Working experience with SAP.
  • Collaborative and facilitator approach to problem solving.
  • Fluency in English. Spanish and/or Portuguese will be considered a plus.
  • Self-driven, highly motivated and independent in your work.
  • Ability to adapt to changes.
  • Engaging communication with great collaboration skills.
  • The ability to act as a role model in building capability, being productive and dynamic.
