Product Development Center Technician
As our new Product Development Center (PDC) Technician, you are responsible for directly assisting customers during test runs in our Product Development Center in Denton, TX. This includes batching (use of scales, tanks, mixers), shipping & receiving of customer goods (utilizing forklift, pallet jack), and cleaning the workplace.
Moreover, as our new Product Development Center Technician, you will perform routine maintenance of Product Development Center equipment and be responsible for a portion of the Plant's GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) program: pest control, general organization and cleanliness, etc.
You must be comfortable with precision manual tasks such as the use of small instruments and machines, and you will be required to move and lift heavy loads quite often.
This position is based in Denton, Texas.
What you will do
As Product Development Center Technician, you will:
- Support customer test runs: batching and blending, etc., working 1on1 with client.
- Perform Product Development Center equipment routine maintenance.
- Move pallets, packages, operate forklift, etc.
- Work closely with clients and Process Engineers to batch and process the products.
- Work with clients to coordinate ingredient disposition, sample shipment etc.
- Wrap and label leftover ingredients as directed, return to ingredient area.
- Prep for next day as directed by Process Engineer – i.e. set up tanks, etc.
- Clean, maintain and test major equipment (pumps, tanks, boiler, chiller, air compressor, water softener, pest control).
- Clean and maintain assigned area of the Product Development Center as well as take responsibility of EPE, Safety, GMP supplies.
We believe you have
- A High school degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Work experience in a customer-facing (internal or external) role and excellent service orientation.
- Experience with hands-on, semi-skilled labor: minor hand tools, instruments, etc.
- Self-driven / motivated attitude.
- Hands-on mentality.
- Basic math, MS Office knowledge.
