Job Summary

 

Package Performance Specialist (multiple openings)

 

Position is located at Tetra Pak headquarters at 3300 Airport Road, Denton, TX 76207.
75% Domestic and international travel required.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. 

What you will do

 

Lead the resolution of escalated Package Material (PM) and Additional Material (AM) issues to ensure efficient and accurate problem-solving on Tetra Pak packaging equipment. Ensure customer satisfaction through close collaboration with Issue Resolution Management, central specialists, Customer Service Organization, Converting Factories, Supply Chain, and Specification Owners Document. Report and solve complex issues and claims following established procedures and actively participate in the global Machine Material Interaction (MMI) network to share expertise and drive improvements. Support material analysis within the Issue Management team by managing claims in accordance with defined processes and escalation protocols. Serve as a Problem-Solving Methodology (PSM) coach or leader in PSM teams, enabling fast and effective issue resolution by involving relevant competencies, and educating, coaching, and sharing experiences with Tetra Pak colleagues and customers. Disseminate information about known issues to the Technical Service organization, ensuring prevention of issue re-occurrences and horizontal expansion of solutions to known MMI issues. 

We believe you have

 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Automation, Chemical, Process or Food Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in food packaging performance, production, quality control, or quality assurance. Alternatively, will accept an Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Automation, Chemical, Process or Food Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of experience in food packaging performance, production, quality control, or quality assurance.

 

Must also have work experience in:

 

1.    Mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermodynamics) and packaging technologies (aseptic and chilled liquid food packaging); 
2.    Material Science including polymers, paperboard, and aluminum; 
3.    Sealing technology including different sealing and heating technologies for packaging materials, specifically, induction heating, and hot air; 
4.    Aseptic processing and sterilization techniques (thermal and chemical sterilization); 
5.    Root cause analysis techniques such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, or Six Sigma; 
6.    Data acquisition systems for monitoring equipment performance and data visualization; 
7.    Statistics including standard deviations and confidence levels in sampling techniques; and 
8.    Process Automation Systems: PLC programming (Proficy for GE Fanuc and RS Logix for Rockwell) for packaging lines.
