Continuous Improvement Specialist


In this position, you will teach Continuous Improvement (World Class Manufacturing) knowledge and methodology to support the results in the respective factory, and work with and support the manager and the pillar to achieve overall process and factory KPIs. This position will report to WCM Manager.
The position is based in Denton, TX. USA
You will be required to travelling 5-10% of your time.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.  

What you will do


As an Continuous Improvement & Training Pillar Specialist you will:


  • Support and govern Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Pillars & Teams
  • Be able to train in different type of methodologies and tools (World Class Manufacturing and Lean/Six Sigma)
  • Ensure From/To matrix works properly among pillars and areas
  • Support and follow up strategic plans in TPM Office, Pillars and Areas
  • Lead Education & Training (E&T) Pillar
  • Lead without authority
  • Working closely with all departments on site to define and implement powerful training and coaching plans for all employees
  • Working closely with different pillar leaders and area managers to support the deployment of E&T Pillar plans in their areas. Structure a strong partnership on site with Human Resources (HR) and promote a People Development environment
  • Facilitate the methodology to build clear inventories of responsibilities and required skills & knowledge to identify gaps and use them to build training programs and curriculum for Middle Management, Engineering, and Shop Floor level
  • Support the factory team to develop, evolve and put to practice the factory skills matrix, ensuring this is kept up to date and aligned with the factory strategy. 70/20/10 approach need to be followed.
  • Ensure E&T Pillar training material and tools provided at global level are available at factory level, are clearly understood and being used
  • Use and teach HERCA or other tools to eradicate Man & Method losses
  • Ensure appropriate knowledge management, trainers formation and manage the specialists list in place for all methodologies and technical skills
  • Training & Coaching on all E&T processes, systems, tools, facilities and technologies
  • Create and support framework to ensure successful onboarding and internal promotions processes according to standards

Who you are


We believe you have:


  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent in manufacturing.
  • Nice to have 3+ years of experience in an Education & Training role in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of Total Productive Maintenance / Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge as a plus.
  • Knowledgeable and ability to use/implement TPM Continuous Improvement governance, methodologies & tools, and audit system.
  • Experienced or interested on training development through digital technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with various functional groups in different level across the company.
