Job Summary
We seek a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and Power BI to join our BI & Analytics team. In this role, you’ll manage Power BI as a platform, develop and optimize reports, and leverage Microsoft Fabric to improve data workflows. As a Senior SME in this role, you will be at the forefront of optimizing and scaling our BI & Analytics solutions. Your expertise will help shape how we manage and leverage data, ensuring that our Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platforms operate efficiently. You will be able to drive significant impact by improving the data workflows and empowering stakeholders with the insights they need to make data-driven decisions. Your contributions will be crucial in advancing our BI strategy, enabling better performance, and ensuring that our platform remains agile and responsive to the evolving needs of the business.
The position is based at our Tetra Pak office in Denton, Texas, USA.

What you will do
- Power BI Platform Management: Lead the administration, optimization, and governance of Power BI, ensuring its seamless integration, high performance, and scalability across the organization.
- Report Development: Design, develop, and optimize complex Power BI reports and dashboards, transforming data into actionable insights for business leaders.
- Microsoft Fabric: Manage and optimize data pipelines and workflows in Microsoft Fabric, ensuring efficient data integration and processing across systems.
- SQL Administration: Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL databases, ensuring smooth operation, and integrate them effectively with BI solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and IT, to ensure BI solutions meet organizational goals and user requirements.
- Copilot Studio: Provide technical guidance on using Copilot Studio, if applicable (experience with it is beneficial but not required).
- Mentorship: Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and best practices thrive.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot complex issues related to Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and associated technologies, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.
We believe you have
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Power BI Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing Power BI as a platform, including service administration, security, data governance, and performance optimization.
- Report Development: Extensive experience designing and developing complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using DAX and Power Query.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, managing data pipelines, and ensuring efficient data workflows and integrations.
- Advanced SQL Server experience, including database administration, query writing, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Azure services is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills can explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications are preferred
- While experience with Copilot Studio is a plus, it is not a requirement.
- Fluency with English language (written and spoken).
