Job Summary
Digital Specialist (multiple openings)
Position is located at 3300 Airport Rd., Denton, TX 76207.
75% Domestic travel to visit customer sites and 5% international travel to Tetra Pak offices in Sweden, Brazil, and Mexico.
Telecommuting is permitted 4 days per week when project workload allows.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Digital Specialist, you will:
Provide automation solutions for Tetra Pak's dairy and beverage equipment, technologies, systems, and modules. Provide support and consultancy for the industrial digital systems including MES/MOM applications, ERP integrations, business applications, and system infrastructure enablers. Deploy industrial digital service solutions and operational support to manage solution lifecycle, handling escalated problems and driving activities and services to secure solution performance over time (configuration, optimization, documentation). Handle maintenance of MES/MOM applications with specific automation competence such as PLC/HMI, DB management, and object-oriented languages. Handle maintenance in service solutions, business applications, and software in the upper part of the IoT stack. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis using prevailing problem-solving methodologies. Use QTIM process to provide technical documentation and reporting including QuTI-P and provide 24/7 remote support. Support OFCE with automation specific expertise during pre-project and installation of capital equipment. Build service system infrastructure with specific competence such as connectivity, networking, virtualization, and database administration. Support automation upgrades and develop and deploy kits. Train customers and staff in key technologies and mentor other service engineers. Maintain knowledge and understanding of existing automation services to support sales teams in pursuing business opportunities. Build and maintain technical network on cluster and global level, across different automation/digital organizations.
We believe you have
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field, and five years of experience deploying automation systems in processing areas. Alternatively, will accept an Associate’s degree in Industrial Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field, and ten years of experience deploying automation systems in processing areas.
Must also have work experience with:
1. Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) including Rockwell, Wonderware InTouch, Human Machine Interface (B&R Automation), Endress Hauser and IFM Electronics, and instruments and hardware used in the food and beverage industry;
2. Databases, recipe handling, and site reports, including data management and customized reports for the food and beverage industry;
3. MES Systems and ERP Integration;
4. IT Infrastructure virtualization and deployment;
5. Industrial network integration; and
6. Deploying and maintaining solutions for plant and line integration using operational technology including PLCs, HMI, servers, switches, firewalls, and databases and devices used in the food and beverage industry.
