Commercial Practices Manager

 

As part of the MO Sales Management & Customer Service organization, we are looking for a Commercial Practices Manager for the Market Group US and Canada. The role will drive and coordinate the pricing and commercial framework as well as the global commercial policy and procedures for three businesses in the market group. The role will have a close collaboration with the commercial team in the US and Canada, as well as Market Operations and the three Business Units and reports to the Commercial Policy Management and Commercial Practices Director.
This position will ideally be based in Denton, TX. We may also consider candidates based in our Tetra Pak offices in Toronto, CA or Vernon Hills, IL.

What you will do

 

As Commercial Practices Manager, you will:

 

  • Drive the annual pricing cycle for 3 businesses to deliver the dynamic pricing decisions, to support profitable business growth, competitiveness, and relevant product deployment.
  • Drive, review, and coordinate the relevant business cases for the escalations and exceptions in the areas of Global Commercial Policy.
  • Support the market with building the external pricing communication package aligned with approach of the relevant Global Accounts. Collaborate with the relevant functions to secure effective pricing implementation.
  • Monitor the execution and delivery of the planned and approved pricing actions, follow up with implementation of the relevant business case.
  • Drive the commercial practices competence development for the relevant functions in US and Canada; facilitate and deliver commercial compliance trainings and workshops.
  • Participate in the market reviews and support the relevant markets to close the gaps and share the best practices.
  • Drive and coordinate the closure of any commercial practices relevant audit findings.
  • Drive excellence of the customer files in US and Canada.
  • Drive the contract templates and Business Critical Terms compliance in US and Canada.
  • Provide inputs and support to the annual global commercial policy update.
  • Support US and Canada for Global Commercial Policy related control self-assessment, risk management and management declaration.

  • Dynamic and capable personality so that you can deliver results in a productive manner.
  • Good understanding of the market and customer dynamism, pricing model for Packaging Solutions, Services and Processing Solutions.
  • Open communication, good presenting and facilitating skills, ability to discuss, influence business insights, ideas, and concepts across various levels of the company.
  • Good financial understanding with excellent analytical skill and the ability to do own calculations and models in a presentable approach and manner.
  • Critical assessment skills in order to observe, research and interpret complex subjects and develop solutions. 
  • Ability to provide insights with confidence to act and ability to convince others.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous situations.
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills, SAP experience as a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
