Cluster Metrology Specialist


With our Services business rapidly expanding, we are now seeking for a Metrology Specialist at Tetra Pak. In this role, you will be responsible for building organizational competence, process and tools to ensure that Tetra Pak provides outstanding Calibration Service to our customers.
As a Metrology Specialist, you will be responsible for managing calibration Kits, planning, leading, scheduling and follow up of calibration events; making sure that Tetra Pak's calibration program is appropriately delivered, according to applicable industry guidelines and standards, assuring reliability, accuracy and effectiveness. 
The position is based in Denton, TX. 
You will be travelling 35-40 % of your time to our customer sites across the Americas. 
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States. 

What you will do


As a Cluster Metrology Specialist you will: 


  • Be responsible and maintain a professional Calibration Lab. 
  • Develop a Calibration Policy and related manual and training materials for Tetra Pak.
  • Support the planning and execution of annual and spot Calibration activities.
  • Ensure Tetra Pak Authorization Letters are current and on file for all active Tetra Pak Calibration Technicians.
  • Execute On-Demand calibrations.
  • Maintain a reliable database, for structured reporting, record-keeping, and tracking.
  • Maintain all Calibration Kits and Tools, and ensure a secure shipping program.
  • Responsible for purchases of new calibration instruments and tools.
  • Secure, schedule, plan, follow up and lead Annual Calibration Program for all critical reference instrumentation for Calibration Kits in the Cluster Americas.
  • Solve urgencies or availability issues by aligning with stakeholders in the cluster to schedule equipment and technicians as efficiently as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationship with external vendors/suppliers and Tetra Pak Technical Staff/Field Force.
  • Implement Best Practices for all reference instruments upon receipt of each returned Calibration Kit shipment.
  • Maintain professional customer experience management, issue resolution, and tracking system.
  • Oversee internal auditing program.

Who you are


We believe you have:


  • A Technical diploma in an industrial or mechanical discipline is required, Bachelor’s preferred
  • About 5 years of experience in metrology, quality, calibration and/or a related field is required.
  • Skills in the science of metrology and instrumentation, both practical and theoretical
  • Proven experience working with FDA regulation, food safety related or similar quality standards, linked with practical applications of field calibration
  • Strong communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively, understand, interpret and explain when talking about technical or commercial matter
  • Demonstrable leadership, planning and scheduling skills
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated previous success in analyzing data to address issues and solve problems
  • Customer and stakeholder focus
  • Team playing attitude
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • International and Domestic travel availability
