Job Summary


Use your advanced negotiation and Supplier Management skills to drive value to the Food & Beverage systems we deliver to our customers.
Tetra Pak Processing Systems sells and delivers various food processing plants to customers worldwide. The Global Supplier Management (GSM) within Tetra Pak Processing Systems is responsible for the supplier base for processing solutions globally. We are now looking for an experienced Supplier Manager to strengthen our team. In this role, you will work closely with our suppliers and internal stakeholders, locally in the United States, Mexico, and globally across all of Tetra Pak Processing Systems. You will be responsible for a number of suppliers, projects, and take active part in Global Purchasing Categories and cost management. You will represent Supplier Management in cross functional projects and activities where supplier management is needed. We supply our solutions through a worldwide network of market companies.
The position is based in Cuautitlan, Izcalli and will support the local factory and the Global Supplier Management organization.
You will be travelling up to 25% of your time.

What you will do


As a Supplier Development Manager (Food Equipment Manufacturing) you will:
 

  • Take responsibility for sourcing activities, delivering components for projects that we deliver to our customers.
  • Execute the supplier strategy in line with our standard policies and procedures.
  • Drive Supplier assessment, validation, and selection
  • Execute a cost estimation and providing should cost calculation support to purchasing and engineering departments.
  • Realize cost savings for sourced components by conducting detailed manufacturing process simulations and should cost calculations
  • Lead and manage technical and commercial negotiation with suppliers.
  • Lead and manage the contracting activities direct with suppliers. 
  • Manage the overall relationship of the Supplier Base and leverage these relationships to deliver at expectation.
  • Take responsibility for the ongoing analysis of cost/spend analysis to budget.
  • Develop internal knowledge and expertise on manufacturing technologies.

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics or Business Management
  • 5-7 years ‘experience of solid supplier management background with strong commercial skills of working internally as well as externally
  • English and Spanish proficiency is a must.
  • An open mind to change and motivation to build and implement new ways of working.
  • Ability to build trust and collaboration, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Ability to work independently and a strong drive to reach the objectives within your areas of responsibility.
  • Experience from category-based purchasing, SAP or equipment manufacturing for food industries.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing process and technical understanding
  • Experience in cost analysis and cost breakdown
  • Good knowledge of Local market
  • Experience in Project Management is a plus.
