Job Summary
The Senior Process Engineer will focus on designing and implementing process and application solutions. This is an opportunity to interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. This opportunity offers unlimited career growth with an industry leader. Development projects will be executed together with customers and business partners as well as internally in Tetra Pak.
This position will report to the Process Engineering Manager
The position is based in Cuautitlan, Izcalli, Mexico
You may be required to travel 35% of your time regionally / globally

What you will do
As a Senior Process Engineer you will:
- Support Technical Sales and Commercial Project Teams, including issue resolution in cooperation with field service engineers and other stakeholders.
- Be supporting projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation. You will also participate in the development of automation solutions for full manufacturing operations.
- Working in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project.
- Utilize your experience with industry standards for process piping, equipment and the installation thereof, strong understanding of automation control application, instrumentation applications, start-up/commissioning of systems, Customer Satisfaction.
- Act with full responsibility for technical solution and quality aspects of project performance and food safety, while securing project management buy in and being aligned with a focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
- Working in close cooperation with Plant Integration team in each of the market companies.
- Working with customers and colleagues in an international environment but also utilize and collaborate with resources throughout the entire organization.
- Develop regulatory experience/awareness with 3A, FDA and OHS
We believe you have
- Bachelor´s Degree in Chemical, Food Science Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology related careers with focus in process design and projects implementation required. Experience may be considered in lieu of 5-year degree.
- Experience in food & dairy processes. Experience in commissioning, maintenance or start-ups as a plus.
- Proven process engineering experience ideally within the dairy or beverage industry, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience in food and plant engineering delivering process solutions.
- Strong communication, planning and leadership skills, able to solve problems consistently.
- Ability to draw, read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID). AutoCAD and drawing platform intermediate knowledge are a must.
- Dairy, Carbonated Beverage and Powder Handling process design knowledge.
- Functional Engineering Competence (pre-automation specs, programming and automations basics) as strong plus.
- Hexagon SSP, SAP and Microsoft Planview knowledge as a plus.
