Job Summary

 

We are looking for a professional who will be responsible for undertaking Process Engineering. You will lead technical decisions and design of technical solutions for projects from low to high complexity. You will collaborate with project manager supporting costs and schedule control for process engineering tasks and deliverables of the project. You will  drive on-site activities, such as installation, commissioning and performance validation, leading teams on customer site and providing technical documentation accordingly.
You will be travelling up to 50% of your time to our customer sites.
The position can be based in Cuautitlan or Polanco, Mexico.

What you will do

 

As a Process Engineer you will: 

 

  • Undertake detailed design of Processing Plant/Equipment.
  • Preparation of P&ID, Process Description, Process Functional Diagram and Engineering Documents. 
  • Engineering Calculations and Utility Consumption Calculations.
  • Specification of Equipment (tanks, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, modules, etc)
  • Ensure Engineering Solution is within the Project Budget
  • Utilization of Tetra Pak’s Software and Engineering Tools
  • Participate in Technical Design Reviews, including Safety, Hygiene, Layout, and Process Solution
  • Prepare and issue Item List and other Relevant Specifications complete with Material Cost during pre-sales or project phase
  • Communicate with customer regarding design, plant layout, utilities, plant performance and other relevant technical issues
  • Undertake Technical Discussions with external and internal suppliers
  • Internal communication with Commercial Team, Project Manager, Automation Team, and Supply Management Team
  • Assist Project Manager with various Project related activities such as ordering, preparation of RFQs, and Inspection of Equipment
  • Support site related activities such as Installation and Commissioning of Equipment when required
  • Support Pre-Project team to prepare quotations when required

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or relevant fields, Master’s Degree or equivalent, an advantage. You will need Degree level education in a relevant discipline (Chemical, Production, Process, Biochemical Engineering or Food Engineering) or be able to demonstrate thorough experience a similar level of achievement. 
  • Proven process engineering experience ideally within the dairy or beverage industry, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • 2 to 3 years of previous experience in food and plant engineering delivering process solutions.
  • Strong communication, planning and leadership skills, able to solve problems consistently.
  • Proficient in English mandatory.
