Job Summary
Liquid Food Solutions (LFS) Operations Engineering USA within Tetra Pak® Processing Solutions & Equipment is looking for an innovative Process Desing Engineer with a technical competence that allows you to create solutions adapted to different product types and customer needs. LFS develop and manufacture processing solutions for customers within the dairy, beverage, and prepared food industry all over the world. Centers of excellence are in Sweden, USA, China, India and Singapore.
In the role as Process Desing Engineer, you will have the possibility to follow the process from order intake to the delivering of the finished product. At LFS we work with process solutions that are unique to every customer and product. Therefore, you will get variation as well as challenges in your daily work. With a suitable candidate, we see this position to be able to grow as a Senior Process Designer or Process Engineer.
Further you are familiar with all the steps in a customer project, from sales to commissioning and support.
LFS is in the greater Mexico City area and designs and manufactures processing equipment primarily for North America including Mexico.
This position will be based in Cuautitlán, Izcalli, Mexico.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Process Design Engineer you will:
- Be responsible for the mechanical and piping design in customer orders throughout the whole order process.
- Make 3D models in Inventor.
- Extract 2D drawings that will be used during manufacturing.
- Extract pipes and fitting lists that will be used as a BOM (Bill of Material) for purchasing and manufacturing.
- Assist the assemblers in the workshop if any questions arise.
- Communicate with Mechanical Design Owners in Sweden (find information about the latest changes, quick estimate of a layout suggestion for Sales Support, provide feedback to Sweden regarding any suggestions for improvement).
- Work with component suppliers in development projects.
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering.
- 3-5 years of working experience.
- Experience working with Autodesk Inventor / Solid Works
- Experience in beverage, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
- You must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Proficient using MS Office software.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Service-minded.
- Must be able to multitask even in stressful situations.
- Hygienic design, good GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), PMO (Project Management Office).
