Job Summary

 

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will combine advanced manufacturing knowledge with a deep understanding of the Tetra Pak product portfolio to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will act as the technical interface between Production and Engineering, identifying complex manufacturing challenges, proposing innovative solutions, and implementing improved work methodologies in close collaboration with production operators. This is an individual contributor role with a strong hands-on and problem-solving focus.

The position is based Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico State, Mexico.
You may be required to travel 10% of your time regionally or globally.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

 

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will: 

 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Business Streams, and Market Operations, particularly for pre-fabricated modules.
  • Identify and solve complex technical issues that are not immediately evident in existing manufacturing processes.
  • Propose, develop, and implement new work methodologies together with production operators.
  • Design and develop tools, fixtures, or devices to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and ergonomics in manufacturing processes.
  • Support and execute corrective actions in compliance with internal procedures and standards.
  • Actively participate in and support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities.
  • Develop production personnel by providing technical training and knowledge related to Tetra Pak modules.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and technical know-how among production teams.
  • Interpret, understand, and disseminate component manuals and technical documentation to production operators in a clear and practical way.

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within metal-mechanical operations.
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as milling, cold working, and related tools and processes.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design (mandatory).
  • Experience developing visual or standardized work instructions for production operators.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • A strong analytical mindset with excellent technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Clear, assertive, and effective communication skills.
