Job Summary
Liquid Food Solutions (LFS) Operations Engineering USA within Tetra Pak® Processing Solutions & Equipment is looking for an innovative Automation Engineer with a technical competence that allows you to create solutions adapted to different product types and customer needs. LFS develop and manufacture processing solutions for customers within the dairy, beverage, and prepared food industry all over the world. Centres of excellence are in Sweden, USA, China, India and Singapore. You have a long experience from working with automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens and Wonderware based) in both process control and production management functionalities. You are experienced in working with complex projects of complete process lines. Further you are familiar with all the steps in a customer project, from sales to commissioning and support. Your engagement in larger projects with our main customers is essential as well as understanding the needs, demands and specifics of the food industry. LFS is in the greater Mexico City area and designs and manufactures processing equipment primarily for North America including Mexico.
This position will be based in Cuautitlan, Izcalli, Mexico.
This role requires some travelling inside and outside USA, maximum 30 days a year.
What you will do
As an Automation Engineer you will:
- Be the expert of automation design in customer orders throughout the order process.
- Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for development, maintenance, and support of automation soft- and hardware.
- You will be involved in all steps of customer projects, from sales support, design, programming, simulation test and commissioning support of orders.
- Your work also includes working with Tetra Pak common automation platforms, securing a uniform structure and identifying future needs of automation hardware and software.
We believe you have
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control and Automation engineering or similar.
- You must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
- 3-5+ years of working experience with automation design
- Rockwell
- Wonderware
- Siemens
- Commissioning background is a plus
- Proficient using MS Office software
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
