Job Summary

The Project Engineer supports the delivery of engineering projects, helping turn technical requirements into practical, high-quality solutions. The role works across functions to coordinate project activities, manage technical details, and support delivery from design through implementation.

 

This role contributes to projects that require strong technical judgment, structured execution, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers when relevant.

 

This is a permanent full-time position based in Cholet, France (49), within Tetra Pak Processing Equipment SAS with 20 % of potential traveling.

Please note that this position is not open to relocation from another country.

 

What you will do

  • Gather engineering data from project kick-off tollgate
  • Monitor P&ID update & 3D Layout
  • Write technical specifications, request for quotation and prepare purchase requisition
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and applicable technical standards
  • Review budget cost vs budget on relevant equipment / activities
  • Monitor delivery of equipment from supplier to platform and from platform to customer
  • Prepare site installation document
  • Follow-up on-site activities and give support when needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and applicable technical standards
  • Maintain clear project documentation and regular progress updates for stakeholders

We believe you have

  • Master Degree in Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in an international environment
  • Good knowledge in mechanical engineering and proven understanding of equipment and processes preferably in food/powder industry.
  • Knowledge of Cad environment, preferably SAP user software experience
  • Understanding of food safety requirements, hygienic design principles, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an international and multicultural environment while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.
  • Strong English communication skills for daily collaboration in an international environment.
  • French is considered a strong advantage.
