Job Summary
The Process Engineer will focus on designing and implementing process and application solutions. This is an opportunity to interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. This opportunity offers unlimited career growth with an industry leader. Development projects will be executed together with customers and business partners as well as internally in Tetra Pak. Therefore, the job offers the possibility to travel globally up to 35% of your time. This position will report to the Automation Manager.
You will be based in Brooklyn Park, MN.

What you will do
As a Process Engineer you will:
- Support Commissioning Automation and Commercial Project Teams, including issue resolution in cooperation with field service engineers and other stakeholders.
- Supporting projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation.
- Utilize your experience with industry standards for equipment and the installation thereof, strong understanding of automation control application, instrumentation applications, start-up/commissioning of systems, Customer Satisfaction.
- Working in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project.
- Act with full responsibility for technical solutions and quality aspects of project performance and food safety, and being aligned with a focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
- Working in close cooperation with Plant Integration team in each of the market companies.
- Working with customers and colleagues in an international environment but also utilize and collaborate with resources throughout the entire organization.
- Give direction Automation Engineers on proper sequencing of Membrane Filtration Equipment and create Function Descriptions.
- Assist in process and yield optimization for Membrane Filtration Equipment.
We believe you have
- BS in Chemical, Food Science Engineering or Bioproducts Engineering required Experience may be considered in lieu of 5-year degree.
- Proven process engineering experience ideally within the dairy or beverage industry, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 3+ years of previous experience in food and plant engineering delivering process solutions.
- Strong communication, planning and leadership skills, able to solve problems consistently.
- Ability to read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID).
Pay Equity
Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
- Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $72,500.00 – $103,400.00 USD.
- Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
