Job Summary

 

Commissioning Engineer (multiple openings)

 

 

The position is located at 12255 Ensign Avenue, Champlin, MN 55316. 
50% domestic and international travel required.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. 

What you will do

 

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will:


Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on processing equipment and solutions. Work within the filtration unit to ensure equipment is functioning as specified. Prepare materials for the start-up, take over, and commission of Tetra Pak filtration systems delivered in cooperation with the project manager. Participate in FAT and IO testing. Start-up membrane filtration systems independently or with Automation Engineers. Collect data required to make improvements and modifications to existing and new systems. Train customers’ operators in the operation and oversight of membrane filtration systems. Investigate and troubleshoot plant/process problems and development tasks. Configure control system including PLC and the HMI/SCADA system. Prepare commissioning reports and feedback to sales and project development teams. Ensure that Tetra Pak equipment works to specifications and to appropriate capacities. Write functional descriptions for membrane filtration equipment.

We believe you have

 

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in automation engineering/programing or field service engineering. Alternatively, will accept 10 years of experience in automation engineering/programing or field service engineering.

 

Must have work experience in:

 

1.    PLC/automation and electrical components;
2.    Optimization or troubleshooting dairy process or filtration plants;
3.    Allen-Bradley PLC programming;
4.    FactoryTalk View SE HMI development;
5.    Designing and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic components; and
6.    Managing automation activities on site for installation, commissioning, and performance testing phases of equipment.
