Job Summary
Join Tetra Pak’s international tax team and help ensure smooth, accurate tax analysis across our global operations — with a focus on European countries. You’ll work on cross-border transactions, support audits, and contribute to process improvements through
tax technology.
This full-time role is based in Budaörs (Hungary).
What you will do
- Assist with overall global tax compliance obligations of Tetra Pak Group entities i.e. assistance with preparation/reconciliation, and timely submission of correct direct & indirect tax returns (including a review function)
- Support local (Hungarian) tax compliance obligations including local ad-hoc tax advice, local tax filing, local tax audits, tax reconciliations & controls, product fee support etc.
- Assist with ensuring efficient working of tax compliance end to end processes
- Assist with tax queries from Tetra Pak local sites (local tax experts), external consultants and/or internal colleagues and assist with managing volumes of e-mail queries
- Respond to tax queries and requests from the tax authorities in all jurisdictions & locally, including support to management on solution of findings of external tax audits
- Support Tax Manager with day-to-day tasks required to run the business effectively, i.e. legislative research, confirmation of tax treatment applicable, review and translation of important documents,
We believe you have
- A degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Around 3–5 years of hands-on VAT compliance experience
- Fluency English is a must — any additional European language is a big plus!
- Great communication skills and confidence in working with stakeholders
- A sharp eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines
- A team player who thrives in a global, collaborative environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Solid experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good understanding of local tax (Hungarian) regulations
