Job Summary

Join Our Tax Team – Drive Compliance & Innovation!

 

Are you passionate about tax operations and ready to make an impact on a global scale? As part of our Tax Center of Excellence, you’ll support international tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for Tetra Pak entities focusing mostly on European countries. You’ll also contribute to cross-border transaction support and help steer global tax alignment initiatives. In this role, you will be based in Budaörs, Hungary.

What you will do

  • Support European and local (Hungarian) tax compliance, including preparation, reconciliation, and timely submission of direct and indirect tax returns
  • Assist with local tax matters such as filings, audits, reconciliations, and product fee support
  • Help improve and maintain efficient end-to-end tax processes
  • Manage and respond to tax-related queries from internal teams, external consultants, and tax authorities
  • Contribute to resolving audit findings and support management with documentation and communication
  • Provide day-to-day assistance to the Tax Manager, including legislative research, document review, translation, and participation in meetings and projects

We believe you have

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience gained in tax compliance from a previous role
  • University degree in a relevant field 
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for precision in tax compliance
  • Solid understanding of direct and indirect tax processes, both globally and locally (Hungarian tax regulation)
  • Ability to navigate complex tax queries and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders in professional level of English
  • Strong organizational skills to manage filings, audits, and reconciliations efficiently
  • Curiosity and initiative to support process improvements and contribute to strategic tax projects
  • Flexibility to assist with research, documentation, and day-to-day operational tasks in a fast-paced environment
