Job Summary

Tetra Pak is looking for a Tax Analyst to strengthen our team in Budaörs, Hungary. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering top-notch service to our internal clients. If you have a genuine interest in finance, accounting, and taxes, and possess experience working with external stakeholders, we would love to hear from you.

In this position you would be responsible for supporting tax compliance activities within the tax center of excellence (“COE”) including tax compliance reporting services provided to Tetra Pak entities globally to ensure that tax returns are submitted accurately and on time. This also includes assistance with some local and cross border transactions concerning goods and services and supporting management with driving global tax alignment improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will contribute to execute day to day tasks within tax ops. Some international travel is required from time to time.

What you will do

  • Overall assistance with global tax compliance obligations of Tetra Pak Group entities i.e. assistance with preparation/reconciliation, and timely submission of correct direct & indirect tax returns (including a review function)
  • Assist local (Hungarian) tax compliance obligations including local ad-hoc tax advice, local tax filing, local tax audits, tax reconciliations & controls, product fee support etc
  • Assist with ensuring efficient working of tax compliance end to end processes
  • Assist with tax queries from Tetra Pak local sites (local tax experts), external consultants and/or internal colleagues and assist with managing volumes of e-mail queries
  • Assist with response to tax queries and requests from the tax authorities in all jurisdictions & locally, including support to management on solution of findings of external tax audits
  •  Assist Tax Manager with day-to-day tasks required to run the business effectively, i.e. legislative research, confirmation of tax treatment applicable, review and translation of important documents, administrative support, participation in key meetings, support with specific projects/workshops etc

We believe you have

 

•    Accounting/finance/business degree
•    Minimum 3-5 years’ experience gained in tax compliance from a previous role (it is a further advantage to have previous experience in finance or accounting such as a bookkeeping role.)
•   Fluency in English and Hungarian is essential, and proficiency in a second language is a plus, with German being preferred
•    Can demonstrate strong listening and communication skills both written and oral
•    Strong attention to detail is essential
•    Ability to work effectively to deadlines
•    Ability to working effectively in a global team-based environment
•    Ability to manage and organize own workload
•    Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and set priorities
•    ERP knowledge (preferably SAP) is essential
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential
•    Graduate for tax advisory is an advantage

•    Knowledge of Hungarian tax regulation is essential
