Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with sound knowledge of local tax and accounting regulations. Covering accounting and tax related activities for Czech and Slovak entities, which are not covered by the Shared Service Center team. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices, reporting to the Accounting and Tax Manager North-East Europe.


The preferred location for this position is Budaörs (Hungary), but you can be based in Bratislava (Slovakia), or Prague (Czech Republic) as well, with hybrid working model

What you will do

As Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Oversee statutory accounting and direct tax related tasks for Czech and Slovak entities
  • Be the main point of contact for communication with local authorities
  • Prepare year-end statutory financial statements
  • Coordinate and support statutory audits
  • Prepare local statistical reports
  • Collaborate with shared service center counterparts
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes in consideration of statutory requirements, maintaining best practices
  • Support Accounting Manager and Finance Director in ensuring statutory regulatory compliance
  • Support projects and ad-hoc tasks 

We believe you have

We believe you have:

  • University/College degree in Accounting or Economics.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting (local gaap and IFRS) and taxes.
  • Good knowledge of statutory regulations and tax matters.
  • Fluent Czech or Slovak language
  • Good written and spoken English language knowledge
  • Experience in use of SAP
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills & excellent team player
  • Self-driven to deliver results independently
  • Dynamic and productive
  • Analytical thinking, hands on mentality
  • Detailed & result oriented
  • Experience in projects is an advantage
