Job Summary
The Head of Corporate Affairs will drive the implementation of the Tetra Pak Corporate Affairs strategy in the region to ensure a regulatory environment that supports, and/or does not harm, our business objectives.
This position is based in Bogota Colombia at our Tetra Pak Office.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
She/he will:
- Monitor and analyze relevant policy topics and files and alert market companies and wider business on possible challenges
- Manage a portfolio of relevant policy issues related to our business and supply chain (incl but not limited to circular economy, food policies, climate and biodiversity, taxes, trade and others).
- Build and manage relationships policy-makers, government officials and agencies and their key influencers representing businesses and civil society
- Represent Tetra Pak in relevant industry associations and stakeholder platforms
- Lead the development and execution of public affairs and advocacy initiatives to support Tetra Pak’s business and the one of our customers
- Advise, support and closely collaborate with the market team on all public affairs and government relations matters
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced Degree in public policy, international affairs, political science, law and/or similar preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of related professional/Public Affairs experience gained in the region in a similar role in a multinational company or Public Affairs firm; preferably related to the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), food, beverage or packaging industry.
- Significant experience in public affairs, government affairs, environment, sustainability, food and consumer health policy issues; deploying advocacy campaigns and working in cross-functional team and business leaders.
- Native command of Spanish and excellent command of English
- Excellent understanding of the role of corporate affairs in driving business goals;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective, innovative and practical public affairs solutions and comprehensive plans that deliver results;
- Highly skilled at anticipating, identifying, and addressing emerging issues and related risks that could impact Tetra Pak’s business
- Strong grasp of the policymaking process at national, state and local level, including the ability to identify emerging issues and opportunities, and to develop and implement measurable tactical plans.
- Recognized as a creative and independent thinker who clearly articulates public policy ideas and can develop solutions that lead to workable regulatory outcomes for Tetra Pak
- Proven experience in developing and driving advocacy campaigns with measurable results
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong team player, culturally sensitive, diplomacy and tact
- Strong ability to build relationships and use influence with key constituencies
- Established track record of collaboration and coalition building in complex environments.
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills
- Well organized, highly motivated, creative and analytical problem solver
