Main Purpose of the Job

Responsible for execution of the Market Company environment strategy (aligned with the MC overall strategy) with local stake-holders across the value chain, including customers and customer facing staff.

Key Outputs and Measurements

-Recycling targets in the market company ( ensuring collection and recycling set up and participation): Recovery rate for polyAl -Support financial assessments of recycling value chains at country level (Appropriate mapping and proposals for improvement, prioritizing countries where TP is financing third-parties.)

-Share environment activities with front line and with customers. Support MC Management teams.

-Engage with MandPM to seek product sustainability opportunities in positioning our portfolio (Deployment of FSC labelling, bio-based polymers and environmental services)

-Full implementation of recycling reporting guidelines

-Manage functional expenses and high quality recycling investment in a controlled framework and appropriate governance according to group guidelines

Key Relationships

Internal within TP on MC level (MC Mnmgt team members;KAMs,KADs, SCO) and with FACs within the respective cluster and specialists in global network occasionaly. External with key decision makers, industrial bodies and recycling companies  

Critical Experience

- Min 5 years experience in Environment.

- Proven strong performance (Env KPIs) or strong track record in Tetra Pak

- Successful experience in market company

- Proven track record in the last environment position

- Business understanding and customer focus

- Delivered in cross-functional projects/areas

- Ability to lead teams

- Respected by Peers and Managers (in MC) and in wider environment networks

- Shows clear understanding of Tetra Pak, Cluster and global environment strategy (holistic view)

Minimum Education

Min MA or equivalent in environment/ bioengineering or relevant sciences

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure execution of environment  strategy and plans for the respective market company.

2. Drive recycling targets in the market company, by ensuring collection and recycling set up and participation in national waste organizations.

3. Anticipate developments in legislation and in collection setup/scheme. Identify opportunities for advocacy activities.

4. Secure favourable outcomes in regulatory developments and effective collection setup/schemes (apply Tetra Pakenvironment advocacy guidelines and positions, request CLE/ GE support as appropriate)

5. Proactively support communications function in driving an active environment communications towards all stakeholders. Manage andsecure the accuracy and credibility of environment content.   

6. Drive partnerships with selected ENGO’s and local bodies of interest.

7. CUSTOMER VALUES support positioning of environment in processes and interaction with Marketing and Sales functions, as per Customer Sustainability Focus Area priorities. Identify collaboration areas with active customers on environment and integrate actions into the KAP as per Customer Mgmt processes (eg. RCS, Value Selling).

8. Ensure compliance to the Code of Conduct and to Environment policies and requirements from a regulatory and statutory point of view, including in factories .Including financial control and environment reporting

Miscellaneous

1. Leads the environment activities for a  market company OR Leads a significant scope of environment activities within a complex market company AND Drives one of the focus area coordination roles in the cluster
