Job Summary

We are looking for a Process Engineer who will develop technical solutions for our customers’ needs, commission process plants and work independently on smaller-medium sized projects and/or be part of larger project teams within the Project Centre. In this role, you will be an expert responsible for technical solutions and process commissioning in the liquid food industry.

You will be based in Bangkok, Thailand

What you will do

As a Process Engineer, you will:

Process Engineering

  • Being the expert in liquid food industry solutions (dairy, beverage, prepared food etc.)
  • Responsible for developing and refining the technical solution that meets the customer's requirements and needs.
  • Directly or indirectly creating the design documentation for the technical solution.
  • To participate in hygienic risk assessments, equipment safety risk assessments and project risk assessments.
  • Handle the design specification, dimensioning and arrangement of process equipment and solutions
  • Defining line functionality, preparing Technical Descriptions and Process Functional Specifications
  • To estimate the engineering and commissioning activity costs to implement the project.
  • To prepare requests for quotation for mechanical completion work and collaborate with the supplier management team.
  • To work closely with the implementation team to ensure a smooth hand-over.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and/ or suppliers.
  • Promote the use of reuseable design and Tetra Pak's preferred design tools.
  • Representing the company in front of our customers and showing the value we can bring to them.

Process Commissioning

  • Support the preparation of customer sites for installation and commissioning of processing equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare materials for plant start-up, handover, and commissioning activities.
  • Lead or participate in commissioning and troubleshooting activities at customer sites, and provide detailed commissioning reports and feedback to sales, project, and development teams.
  • Take part in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and I/O testing, often alongside customers at the workshop.
  • Support on training the customer operators in the operation.
  • Provide occasional support to internal teams, including assisting with sales efforts, addressing customer claims, contributing to product improvements and development, and participating in on-site audits.
  • Ensure all equipment operates to meet specifications and capacity, making adjustments as needed to enhance performance and meet customer expectations.
  • Perform all duties in strict alignment with Tetra Pak and customer safety standards, ensuring compliance with product quality and food safety requirements.

We believe you have

  • Strong drive for results, an analytic mindset, and can find common solutions
  • Good communication skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships are required, as the work includes close contact with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • You have knowledge and experience of food safety & hygienic design, food industry standards, practices, and regulations.
  • You have experience in engineering and sizing flow equipment, process plant.
  • You have gained at least 5 years of experience in Engineering and/or Commissioning in Dairy or Liquid food processing industries.
  • University degrees in Process Engineering, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation and similar.
  • CAD 2D/3D and MS Office skills
  • Thai and good English language ability.
  • Based on Bangkok office and willing to travel up to 50% of time.
