Job Summary

 

As Pre-Sales Project Manager in the Implementation/Pre-Project area you will be engaged in the pre-projects/implementation projects, working with internal Tetra Pak and customer teams across the globe and will be based in Bangkok, Thailand. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage pre-projects/implementation projects on your own, leading the process design, driving technical discussions, working out and engineering process and line solutions, specifying components, calculating costs, preparing quotation and contracting documents. The position entails flexible travelling.

What you will do

 

As our Pre-Sales Project Manager, you will;

 

  • Working out technical concepts and solutions on time, on budget and on scope within the required quality from small to large scale technical projects by aligning with Tetra Pak experts across borders to prepare a reliable quote in compliance to Tetra Pak’s standards and governance that meet customers’ expectations.

  • Third Party Equipment (3PE) management leader in pre-project (technical specs, database with reusable 3PE & regional sourcing).

  • Non-standard portfolio equipment follow-up + management of the deviation of the portfolio, from the specific customer request to the transfer to the Realization Dpt. Dedicated link with the Product Managers, their strategies and their roadmaps.

  • Responsible of applying in pre-project the Lessons learned in project

  • Leading the project on time, on budget and on scope within the required quality from small to large scale technical projects from initial customer needs captured and evaluated to firm quotation and handover to implementation team.

  • Defining deliverables and fixing the scope together with customer and customer management based on strategic and economic evaluations.

  • Preparing, organizing and leading design and risk reviews, time schedules, commissioning and performance commitments.

  • Closing cooperation with the Supply Management organization.

  • Leading the pre-project team that is set up for medium and large-scale pre-projects (none of them direct reports) or collaborating with the project core team and the project management.

  • Acting as pre-project manager in smaller and medium scale opportunities.

  • While handling implementation projects, leading the process design, ordering of process components/equipment in line with Tetra Pak Supplier Managment guidelines

  • Review/owning the solution provided. 

  • Review and ensure the hygienic installation drawings 

  • Support site installation team as and when required for critical process/utility installation.

  • Technical coordination with cross-functional team (Electrical, Automation, PMO, PCO and Installation)

  • Lead commissioning activity up to customer handover to make high customer satisfaction level.

  • Act as Project Manager for any projects in absence of project manager.

  • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak.

We believe you have

 

  • Masters University degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Process / Food Engineering is required

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of work experience with projects – engineering, commissioning, and lead

  • Experience in the food / liquid processing industry is a must

  • Experience in implementing processing solutions and working on installation projects

  • Experience in bidding / tendering / pre-project / project work

  • Experience in a client facing role; customer-focused mindset

  • Good understanding of service business and customers’ needs

  • Good technical and commercial negotiations skills

  • Good level of analytical problem-solving methodology

  • Self-driven, decisive, highly motivated, independent personality

  • Familiar with general engineering and drawing software tools used for large scale plant engineering (e g.  AutoCAD)

  • Experience in using database driven engineering design tools is preferred (e.g. Matrix, SSP)

  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written
