Job Summary

 

We are looking for a Director Corporate Affairs, ASEAN and India

In this role you will drive the implementation of the Tetra Pak Public Affairs, Government and Stakeholder Relations strategy in a region where we have four Tetra Pak market companies (South Asia, Thailand, Vietnam and MSPI (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia)). 

The preferred location for this position is in Bangkok, Thailand but we can consider other regional locations where we have Tetra Pak offices. The position will require travel across the region, diplomacy and the ability to work in diverse environment.

What you will do

 

As a Director, Corporate Affairs for the region, you will develop and execute the Tetra Pak’s government and industry related advocacy strategy, acting as the key interface between Tetra Pak and governments, policy makers, industry and trade associations and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for positioning Tetra Pak as a trusted partners and advisor to policy makers and stakeholders to help shape policy and regulation that drives competitiveness in the food and beverage value chain as well as sustainable development. In this position you will also work very closely with the local country management teams to develop national strategies and vision. 

You will be responsible for managing regulatory preparedness across key policy areas that have business impact as well as building and managing relationships with policy makers, government officials and agencies and key influencers representing businesses and civil society The role will also lead engagement with key stakeholders in context of climate finance as well as identify and manage opportunities for participation in industry coalitions, events and engagement in international business delegations.

You will report to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer based in Switzerland and be part of a global Corporate Affairs Leadership Team. 

We believe you have

 

  • Master’s degree in public policy, international affairs, law and/or similar preferred.
  • Minimum fifteen years of experience in government affairs, corporate affairs or in a similar role in a multinational company or a public affairs firm
  • Work experience from the food and beverage sector including packaging is desirable 
  • Established policy and sustainability network and stakeholder relationships in the region and key countries highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of the regional legislative and political environment, government processes and 
  • The role requires the ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a complex environment where flexibility and influencing and relationship building skills are essential
  • A critical thinker with a can do attitude and an outcome-focused management style
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (fluent English and Thai, other local languages are a plus) and strong analytical and problem-solving capability
