Job Summary
Tetra Pak is now looking for an engineer who can take the role of Automation & Commissioning Engineer.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality technical services and support to our customers ensuring that all issues are dealt in the most effective and satisfactory way. This is an excellent opportunity to increase your knowledge and gain experience in the automation electronics and mechanics field by performing services at our clients’ sites.
Main responsibility is to defining automation solutions, based on PLC, Scada, Industrial Networks, in virtual environments and with a high level of integration and information Exchange with Data Bases. You will be responsible for a part of an automation project in technical aspects, decided by the Automation Team Leader or Automation Manager.
This is a permanent position based in Ambivere (BG)- Italy, but you will be required to travel worldwide 50% of working time at customers sites .
What you will do
- Overall project responsible for automation & electrical (low voltage panels) design
- Siemens PLC & InTouch HMI programming are the most common in our business. Develop the software of single units first and then large plants.
- Project quality assurance, by using of proper FAT tests and validation tests protocol.
- Design and review all the technical documentation, as per, automation architecture, IP lists, electrical diagrams, instrumentation, operator manual, etc.
- Build and maintain a good customer relation and work proactively with quick analysis, decisions and actions.
- Under commissioning phase, drive the automation, electrical & instrumentation setup, as well as, be responsible for troubleshooting
- Commissioning duration can be from few weeks up to months depending on the size of the project. Anyway usually no more than five weeks in one go.
- Collaboration within the market area and cluster in several countries around the world.
- Maintain accurate service reporting
- Work in accordance with all safety regulations and requirements. Understand the importance of product quality and ensure a safe working culture in the team
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s degree or above in automation or electrical engineering
- High level of English and native level of Italian language knowledge both verbal and written.
- 4 years of proven experience in similar roles with good hands-on skills
- Genuine interest in techniques and customer service with focus on quality
- Willingness to travel worldiwide
- Writing/reporting skills
- Programming skills on Siemens Tia Portal are required
- Programming skills on Step7 RsLogix 500 and HMI knowledge would be valued
- Food processing technology knowledge will be valued: understanding about liqud behaviour, temperature and pressure
