Location

This position is based at Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S in Aarhus (Denmark).

Please note that no career migration (international relocation) is planned for this role.

Travel requirement: Approximately 20–30 travel days per year

 

What you will do

As an Automation and Digital Engineer, you will play a key role in developing PLC software projects from order to customer takeover. You will focus on PLC and HMI programming, cybersecurity, and electrical architecture development. We are also working with cutting-edge digital technologies such as machine learning and Industry 4.0, so knowledge in these areas is a strong advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test PLC and HMI/SCADA software.
  • Develop new products and technologies that support digitalization.
  • Implement and optimize cybersecurity solutions.
  • Lead automation projects from order to customer takeover.
  • Support technicians remotely during commissioning.
  • Take responsibility for the technical management of electrical, automation, and digitalization topics in our portfolio.
  • Standardize electrical and automation solutions according to EU standards.

We believe you have

Education

  • A degree in electrical and/or automation engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

  • 5–6 years of experience in electrical and automation engineering.

Knowledge

  • Programming skills in platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, InTouch, or Ignition.
  • Understanding of digital technologies, Industry 4.0, and machine learning.
  • Knowledge of EU cybersecurity rules and requirements.
  • Electrical engineering expertise.
  • Experience clarifying electrical and automation specifications with sales teams and customers, and coordinating with project stakeholders.
  • Experience in liquid processing engineering.
